Although April is officially National Volunteer Appreciation Month, we appreciate our volunteers year-round!  They provide tremendous support and help to ensure the quality of our services for those experiencing homelessness in Berkeley. Last year 9,795 volunteer hours were provided by 497 volunteers who worked almost $250,000 in pro bono time and talent. Thank you!! *(BFHP's Jessica Dancisak is pictured here with Pastor Leah Martens, and her family, from Haven Berkeley.)* ### Related Post [![](https://blog.insighthousing.org/hs-fs/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/Jerry-Jordan-crop-1024x941.jpg?width=352&name=Jerry-Jordan-crop-1024x941.jpg)](https://blog.insighthousing.org/news-resources/say-yes-to-homeless-services-in-your-community) ##### [Say YES to homeless services in your community](https://blog.insighthousing.org/news-resources/say-yes-to-homeless-services-in-your-community) Thank you to all who have supported the work that Berkeley Food & Housing Project is doing to... ##### [Berkeley Food & Housing Project Announces Expansion of Services in Solano and Contra Costa Counties](https://blog.insighthousing.org/news-resources/berkeley-food-housing-project-announces-expansion-of-services-in-solano-and-contra-costa-counties) Read the full press release here: [...](https://www.dailyrepublic.com/all-dr-news/community/community-news-and-views/press-release-berkeley-food-housing-project-announces-expansion-of-services-in-solano-and-contra-costa-counties/) [![](https://blog.insighthousing.org/hs-fs/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/5_Shattuck_Small-1-e1542395768768-1024x473-1.jpg?width=352&name=5_Shattuck_Small-1-e1542395768768-1024x473-1.jpg)](https://blog.insighthousing.org/news-resources/it-takes-a-village-thank-you-berkeley-by-executive-director-terrie-light) ##### [It Takes A Village: Thank You Berkeley By Executive Director, Terrie Light](https://blog.insighthousing.org/news-resources/it-takes-a-village-thank-you-berkeley-by-executive-director-terrie-light) I am deeply gratified to tell you that our long-awaited new building on Berkeley Way is on its...
