> Usually, Killeen said, Habitat selects a low-income family, volunteers build a single-family home in partnership with the family and sells it to them with an affordable mortgage. The Rio Vista house, is six bedrooms and three bathrooms and was built in partnership with another nonprofit: the Berkeley Food and Housing Project (BFHP), an organization aimed at providing services for homeless individuals and families."
