The History of Racist Housing Policies
During Black History Month, it is important to highlight not only the great achievements of Black Americans, but to also shine a light on the historical injustices that have held Black people back in this country and are still affecting them today.
The compounded history of redlining, disinvestment, single-family zoning, and other forms of discrimination have created the current system of institutional racism which disproportionately impacts communities of color in the United States.
